Park Cities Historic and Preservation Society Distinguished Speaker Luncheon
Park Cities Historic and Preservation Society’s (PCHPS) annual Historic Home Tour, Distinguished Speaker Luncheon, and the Classic and Antique Car Show celebrate historic preservation and are designed to generate awareness of the role history and preservation play in enhancing the quality of life for everyone who lives and works in the Park Cities communities. Speaker: Jenna Bush Hager: Hager is a contributing correspondent on NBC’s Today show and an editor-at-large for Southern Living magazine. She is also the author of The New York Times best seller Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope, which she wrote after traveling to Latin American in 2006 as an intern with UNICEF. Hager is the daughter of former U.S. president George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush. Proceeds from the luncheon will be used to help preserve and maintain the Park Cities House at Dallas Heritage Village, support the new PCHPS archives at the University Park Library, fund the Society’s landmarking initiatives and award scholarships to Highland Park High School graduating seniors planning to study architecture, history or preservation.
